Pomeroy and Nelda began dating on
July 4th 1958 in the Texas Rio Grande Valley when both were home from
College. Nelda was a Sophmore at North Texas State in Denton and P. J. was
a Junior at the University of Texas in Austin. They had graduated from
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School in '55 and '57, he lived in Alamo and she
in San Juan.
They married on September 12th 1959 at the San Juan Methodist Church
and have five children:
Sheri, Jeri, Tim, Elizabeth and Patrick
